Deformation Characteristics Analysis of Temporary Support in Unsymmetrical Loading Tunnel Excavation under Composite Support

چکیده

Based on practical engineering, considering the characteristics of unsymmetrical loading, shallow burying, and weak surrounding rock tunnel, MIDAS finite element software is adopted to analyze influence effect deformation a temporary steel support when tunnel excavated by two-step center diaphragm method (CDM). The simulation results are compared with field monitoring results. It can be seen that: (1) Affected settlement right spandrel obvious. existence reduces at greatly, making distribution principal stress more reasonable. (2) upper bench undergoes four stages: convergence, expansion, stabilization; lower five stabilization. (3) There an obvious “bench-type” phenomenon in change support. analysis provide scientific basis technical guidance for construction optimization loading tunnels using same technology.

A numerical analysis of effect of segmental lining joints on tunnel support internal forces under seismic loading

During an earthquake, the better performance of segmental tunnel lining, compared to the continuous in-cast concrete lining, is generally related to the joints between segments. In order to better understand the influence of the segment joints, their effect on the internal forces induced in tunnel lining simultaneously with the effects of the other influential parameters should be considered. I...

Analytical analysis of ultimate ground pressure on tunnel support system

The ground reaction curve (GRC) is a vital component of the convergence-confinement method, which possesses many applications in the underground space designs. It defines a relation between the tunnel wall deformations and the ground pressure acting on the tunnel walls. Generally, GRC includes descending and ascending branches. According to many researchers, the descending branch trend for the ...

The deformation of retaining piles and ground surface under various support systems during deep excavation

Background: Since the high-rise buildings and deep underground structures dramatically increases in urban area, the decent design and construction of deep excavations is essential before these structures are actually built up. The building area is very susceptible to the changes of their geo-environment, and even minor insecurity of a deep excavation may lead to a catastrophic failure of struct...

Deformation Characteristics of Composite Structures

The composites provide design flexibility because many of them can be moulded into complex shapes. The carbon fibre-reinforced epoxy composites exhibit excellent fatigue tolerance and high specific strength and stiffness which have led to numerous advanced applications ranging from the military and civil aircraft structures to the consumer products. However, the modelling of the beams undergoin...

Analysis of support pressure for stabilization of rock blocks in the Zaker tunnel

This paper presents the results of engineering geological studies of rock blocks along a road tunnel in NW Iran. The tunnel is to cross the Western Alborz Mountain Range through 530 m in length with 11.2 m span and 8 m height. Eocene tuffs and andesites crop out in whole of the tunnel route. Numerical analyses are done using, a 3D stability analysis and visualization program, called Unwedge tha...
